My Views On...

Homosexuality

Is this still controversial? Why is this even an issue? Homosexuality and other diversities of love/relationships/marriage should all be accepted, not tolerated. Here is a wonderfully hilarious article that I would like to share with you about homosexuality: HERE

Religion
There is no meaningto life, we came, we evolved, we die off. I was born Buddhist but I no longer believe though I do respect and love the culture. In general though, I am opposed to mass religion. Why do people feel compelled to squeeze their personal beliefs under an umbrella term? Your beliefs are your's, they should not have a name. If you do not believe everything your "religion" preaches, you do not belong, period.

Churches
I will admit that I have a fear of churches and cathedrals. The image of Jesus hanging brutally on a cross in the first church I ever stepped into caused my vision of Christianity to begin to crumble. Though some of their intentions and morals are congenial and respectable, their means and stories are poorly advocated. As a child that did attend church and participated in faith education, I did not feel regret, empathy or sadness when I saw a crucified Jesus; but rather it looked like something from Silent Hill and gave me nightmares for months. I suppose that is part how Christians teach their children about Jesus' suffering, but the image scared me so deeply, I developed a sarcastic contempt for any associations with the Christian religions including their stories and teachings. In addition to being anti-religion, I really don't think it is necessary to terrify a child into empathy.

Death

My theory on death is simple. You know that feeling after you fall asleep but don't dream? Where you can't keep track of time? Think that... but forever.

Paranormal
I think that where ever you go or have been, you leave spiritual traces of yourself. (Sp ritual not in the terms of a soul, but more like an aura left by a sixth sense similar to your body leaving a smell than can be picked up by your nose). That is what we call "ghosts". These ghosts are probably not at the location at that very second, but what you are sensing is their mark they left when they were alive.

Sex

Sex with love is wonderful. Sex without love, however, can be fun. Sex before or after marriage, is a personal choice though saving yourself is just ridiculous. Sex is a primal instinct, face it. It's not this big holy ritual that you must save for the "One". It is natural, beautiful and instinctual. Humans are not naturally monogamous, some are monogamous by choice. It is not right or wrong to chose between the two but a delicate balance you must find. Right and wrong are also social constructions, so they are relative as well.

Porn & Women's Sexuality
Porn is an expression of primitive human nature. What stimulates most humans are visuals. Porn is a visual. Porn in itself, is a form of art and business. I do not find it degrading at all and those who do, have already submitted to patriarchal thought.

Sex is a woman's power, embrace it, celebrate it. Why would any woman support the repression of female empowerment in any form? Especially sex. Women are beautiful and you are NOT at a loss if you display that quality. But using your body to make money should not be frowned upon. It's a service, get on with it. It is just like working in a labour intensive job like construction, backup dancing, or fitness.

Prostitution
I support legalization of prostitution. This way, things can be regulated, actors/actresses are required to be "clean", frequent tests and enforcement to minimize danger. I've gotten a lot of guff from this belief so here goes.

Question: Would you consider prostitution a talent as well if the intention of the customer were to violate and abuse? Most prostitutes are not embraced by their customers as talent nor given much respect, and most go into prostitution not by choice, but for survival.
First, I consider prostitution a business. Do not get it confused with sexual talent. Second, the customer's intent to violate (under legalized prostitution) would be prevented by enforcement. Think about boxing or wrestling. The intent is do abuse and damage, is it not? But there are a set of regulations, legal consequences and risks customers/entertainers agree to when entering any sort of deal or show (just like any other job!). Prostitution should be a business while selling sex as a talent. Why aren't prostitutes embraced? Because many people still believe in the male dominant belief that sex is not a woman's power. Legalize and regulate prostitution and you can start rebuilding respect for women's sexuality. In addition, everyone works for survival so it is a bit of a stretch to say they are put into this business not by choice. No one has the choice to stop working if they want to survive.

Explicit/Naughty Photos

Explicit/Naughty photos are a great way to capture lust and beauty. I hate the term "cam whore" and its stigma. There is such thing as sexual grace. My personal preference is for non-nude suggestive photography because it leaves things to the imagination. So don't ask me, I don't do nudes or cam shows.

Abortion

I am pro-choice. It's the woman's body and solely her choice to critically evaluate her situation responsibly. Pro-Choice does NOT mean Pro-Death. Choice means that the woman can assess her situation and then decide what is best. Pro-Lifers should be renamed Anti-choice or specify whose LIFE they are truly for. Not every situation is black and white.

Think about this: Just as there can be positives about saving a baby, a "saved" baby's life may come into unstable surroundings causing negative physical/emotional issues resulting in that child resorting to theft/rape/murder. It goes both ways.

Charity

I only donate to animal charities. The complexity of human nature has gone to the point where corruption, abuse and religion have caused us to unfairly reach into the resources of species that have never contributed to the mass destruction of their own kind.
