Sex and the City

I've watched the whole series of SATC and I've fallen in love with it. I can't wait for the movie coming out summer 2oo8!

Favourite SATC Leading Lady

I've always loved Sam. There is something about her open mind, open life and open legs attitude that I love. She's not ashamed of herself, she reveals in her power and success as an independent woman. Her confidence, prowess and open nature makes her someone I wish I was best friends with! =) However, with all that testosterone driven aspiration, she has an emotional vulnerability. Her character is someone I can definitely relate to and admire.

I love Carrie's depth, but I disagree with a lot of the decisions she made, especially when it came to Aidan. Though she is a realistic portrayal of the conflicts within most women, I don't empathize with her as often as others do simply because her character not only holds back on herself, but inadvertently pulls down her girlfriends as well.

Charlotte's style was always one of the only things I liked about her. She's classy, poised and graceful. I always thought she should've gone with the gardener haha.

The one I least like is Miranda. She's good for the few witty one-liners but her bitterness completely ruins her character for me. She's lucky to have Steve, and I'm glad she eventually came around. I liked when they changed her character to have a little more style. You can be a woman, successful, independent and have style. I guess I just don't like red-heads haha.

Favourite Men

Above all else, I must say my favourite SATC guy is Smith. That sexy hunk of ass, omg. But ladies, not only is he the hottest man on SATC, did you SEE the emotional support he gave to Sam? Remember when he shaved his head for her? :O I cried my eyes out after she went up to have sex with Richard and then came back down and HE WAS STILL WAITING. *swoon*. Though Smith (in Sam's eyes) is naive and inexperienced, he is more sentimental, open to guidance not to mention SMOKIN', something Sam needs in a relationship to balance her out. I love Sam and Smith's relationship because it transcends great sex. Bodily pleasure is one thing (a great thing nonetheless), but with Smith, their relationship is one of connection and security.

My second favourite man is Aidan. I think Carrie made a HUGE mistake with him. I'm not just talking about when she fucked it up with Big, I'm talking about how needy she is. A lot of fans say that Aidan was the needy one, the one that was pressuring her into marriage but I think it's Carrie who is the one that is so insecure in herself, she let the best thing that happened to her, get away. She spends the whole series looking for a man like Aidan, but when she finds him, he is too perfect. The relationship is too drama-free and loving it scared her into hurting him. I thought that was pretty selfish. He wasn't pressuring her into marriage, he was being romantic and spontaneous in front of the water fountain. And he was right. If she's not going to want to marry him then, she never will. She can't expect to break his heart and make him wait for her like a puppy dog until she's ready to decide if she wants to commit to him or Big.

Favourite quotes

Samantha: Honey whats the point of being in the suburbs if you're not gonna fuck a gardener?

Carrie: His words said no but his kiss said yes.
Miranda: Ok, that's a defense invoked by date rapists.

Charlotte: Why don't we just buy her a stapler, wrap it in brown paper, and smear poo all over it?

Carrie: Why are we should-ing all over ourselves?

Charlotte: Samantha, you look nice today.
Samantha: Thank you. I have cancer.

Samantha: Practically all the relationships I know are based on a foundation of lies and mutually accepted delusion.
